When you think of Texas, you probably think of how deregulated it is...you can do pretty much anything there -- especially when it comes to hunting, fishing and any other outdoor activity. So you’d probably guess that the best hog hunting you’ll get is in Texas too wouldn’t you?

That guess is sadly wrong. Happily, up in Oklahoma and at HogWild, the hog hunting is the best in the world!

You might be wondering what makes hog hunting in Texas different. Texas wildlife code defines feral hogs as exotic livestock, so the open hunting of feral hogs is reserved for the landowners who are protecting their grounds from animals that are causing damage to their agriculture or other livestock on the property.

Because of their classification, one must acquire a hunting license to trophy hunt or to hunt hogs for food in Texas, and all Texas limitations and requirements are published annually in the Outdoor Annual publication.

When it comes to hunting on private land in Oklahoma, it’s still important that you possess a hunting license, but you need only have the permission of the landowner to do your hunt on private property.

Aside from this, there’s no ranch that’s dedicated to creating the hunting experience that HogWild is. Many ranches in Texas are going to make you pay more money for bagging a hog above a certain weight. At HogWild, we’re not going to hide fees for heavier hogs under a scale. What you see is what you get with us -- and what you get is an unparalleled experience with state of the art equipment and beautiful lodging for you and your entire family.

When you hunt at HogWild, you’ll find that the sky's the limit when it comes to your hog hunting desires. Our state has plenty of feral hogs to go around, and we are certainly dedicated to facilitating beautiful and immersive experiences.
